The West Central Technology Division at Allstate Insurance Company has an exciting opportunity for a .Net Developer in Englewood,Colorado.
The .NET Developer will have the following responsibilities:
Create, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases utilizing approved enterprise processes
Develop Microsoft .NET applications to meet end user requirements
Understand and work within Project Management methodologies
Communicate effectively with Project stakeholders and meet deadlines for Project milestones
Assists in ensuring that enterprise-wide standards are met
Create and maintain Intranet web structure and content
Support Regional Office with intranet design, development and implementation
Acts as a resource to all departments on technology issues
Supervises and contributes to workstation deployments, hardware and software configuration and installation
Liaison with Home Office, data centers and support centers on regional technology issues
Demonstrates leadership
Provides communication and direction to stakeholders regarding Allstate technology
Liaison with Home Office,DataCenterand support centers to implement new projects and technologies
Provides formal and on-the-job training to other team members
Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for stakeholders and team members
Focuses on development
Keeps abreast of new technology products, services, and software
Informed of technological developments available at Allstate
Recommends appropriate applications of technology to provide benefit to the region
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science) strongly preferred
Advanced skills in Microsoft operating systems and applications
.NET knowledge and experience required
Sequel (SQL) experience and knowledge required
Intermediate to advanced programming skills required
Fundamental knowledge of application development life cycle and internal network architecture
Application of standardized mathematical and analytical procedures to reconcile, manipulate and analyze data. Ability to leverage technical skills in the achievement of team objectives
Effective interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
Relationship building and management is a must
Strong decision-making skills required
Effective at multi-tasking skills required
