Application Developer Overview:
For Courion 2.0 project - developing workflows, enhancing user interface, upgrading modules, integrating with other apps (Service Now, SAP), creating access reviews, and establishing roles with default levels of access.  Please ensure this candidate has recent Courion experience.
 
Specific Skills and Responsibilities: 
1) Microsoft SQL Development Experience.
2) Powershell Development Experience
3) C# .net Framework Development Experience
4) Asp.net Development Experience
5) Experience authoring and consuming web services.
6) Javascript Development experience.
 
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: 
Design, code, test, and analyst software programs
Mentor and help architect system design through coordination with the business and IT including researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specification throughout the product lifecycle
Analyze and amend software errors in a timely and accurate fashion and provide status reports where required
Mentor other developers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and applications
Plan phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for a variety of projects
Assist in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications
Research and document requirements of software users
Assist and contribute to the Architectural Council on all software solutions designed or purchased at CareSource
Assist PM/SQA and other groups coordinate developers and projects to completion
Clarify and drive team goals on a technical level making sure that the solutions proposed and designed are in line with the department and CareSource vision
Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades
Assist the Architectural Council with technical knowledge regarding emerging technologies to help drive strategy
Assist management with resource and release planning
Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications
Define architecture and design for enterprise applications
Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas
Lead projects from a development standpoint and coordinate activities with the developer teams as needed
Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines
Assist in software deployment as required based on build specification
Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems
Manage and/or provide guidance to junior and mid-level software developers and research assistants
Perform technical code reviews of peers to ensure proper coding methodology is being adhered to
 
Perform any other job related instructions, as requestedGeneral Education/Experience/Skills: 
BS degree in the field of computer science or software engineering or equivalent years of relevant work experience required
Minimum of seven (7) years of advanced OOP principles and design experience required
Minimum of one (1) year of experience leading development team required
Experience developing and designing n-tier applications with multi-tier architectures required
Project Management experience required
UML Modeling experience required
XML,XSLT, Schema coding experience and translation abilities
Web Service development experience
Working technical knowledge of object-based programming languages, including C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, or Python
SML, XSLT, Schema coding experience and translation abilities
Web service development knowledge
Experience working with enterprise application Microsoft Office
Strong relational database experience including tuning, stored procedure development and use of reporting services in a Microsoft environment    
Facets Extension development or experience developing applications in the healthcare sector preferred
Application development in a healthcare or payer related field preferred
Hands on experience working in integrated development environments, including , including SVN, Microsoft Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server
Extensive experience with Windows operating systems.
Extensive experience with Windows SQL Server database
Hands-on software troubleshooting experience
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
Experience with specific phases of the software development life cycle, especially Agile, Test Driven Development, and Waterfall
Familiarity with TDD and Iterative software development methodologies
Familiarity with the health industry
Flexible and adaptable in regard to learning and understanding new technologies
Strong written and oral communication skills

Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products
