GIS Analyst - Intermediate 16617
HII-TSD, Integrated Mission Solutions Group (Camber Corporation) is currently seeking an Intermediate GIS Analyst to work in the Huntsville, AL area.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Members of the HII/Camber GIS Team are responsible for acquiring and processing geospatial data for defined areas, application of committee determined exclusionary and evaluative criteria to these large spatial databases to determine the optimal location for placing elements of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) system, and presenting analysis results. Results are provided to the customer in the form of hardcopy and/or digital maps and briefings to high-level government employees.
Project involves data identification, acquisition, processing, manipulation, analysis, and output in support of the GMD siting effort. Team also responsible for producing and delivering environmental maps to be placed in Environmental Assessment documentation.
Duties will include spatial database design, data digitization, editing, and conversion, data analysis, map production, and briefing support. Performing site analysis including site location, line of site, terrain modeling, site modeling, and buffer zones. Collecting government and commercial GIS data, including but not limited to satellite imagery and terrain files from online portals. Providing cartographic support by creating maps of site analysis.
Three to five yearsâ€™ experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software, both vector and raster applications. Experience in:
Data conversion from one GIS environment to another.
Image processing experience, to include georeferencing, orthorectification, and elevation and geographic feature extraction.
Designing and building GIS database layers and attribution from scratch or by data conversion.

Bachelorâ€™s Degree in Professional Geography, Geographic Information Systems, or equivalent
Specific HW or SW experience with ArcGIS 10 and up, Windows 7 and up, MS Office, Photoshop and similar supporting software.
Experience with ESRI GIS products â€“ ArcInfo, ArcMap, Spatial Analyst. Experience with ArcSever and SDE a plus
Programming Language Experience: Python, C#, ASP.net, Visual Basic
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills
Travel may be required
Application development using Visual Basic, .NET, C#, etc.
Experience developing 3 dimensional scenes and animations.
Must be able to obtain Secret clearance prior to start.
