Application Architect

The Contractor will provide the following services:

Collaborate with the project manager, business analysts, and other technical leads to collect and

clarify functional and technical requirements.

Design and document application architecture as directed by the Department.

Provide technical training and guidance to development team members as directed by the Department.

Provide technical guidance to product owner as directed by the Department.

Assist Project Manager with monitoring, estimating, and tracking development team productivity

as directed by the Department.

Attend, lead, and participate in all ceremonies of a Scrum/Waterfall development project

(planning sessions, stand-up sessions, review sessions, backlog grooming sessions, pointing

sessions, and retrospective sessions) as directed by the Department.

Conduct code review as directed by the Department.

Assist with development tasks as directed by the Department.

Work with the Department's Office of Information Technology and development teams to

analyze and minimize costs associated with the Azure environment.

Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

The Contractor must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

Application Architect

Leadership of successful development and implementation of applications in Azure environment

Ten years of architect/tech lead, design and development experience with .NET application and Entity framework.

Five years of experience with MVC.

Ten years of Object-Oriented programming, ASP.NET, JavaScript and application development

using C#

Five years of experience with Azure Build and Deployment automation processes.

Five years of experience with Azure DevOps, including pipelines, triggers, blob storage, data migration (between cloud and on-prem), data warehouse, scheduling VMs, and Web jobs, ADF, Graph API, and ARM templates.

Experience with Azure ASE and integration with SQL MI.

Experience with Azure Data Warehouse and integration with SQL MI.

Five years of experience with Reporting Tools such as Crystal, SSRS, Power BI or similar technologies

Two years of experience with Azure cost analysis.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field; or equivalent work experience.
