Profile

Summary:
Primary responsibility is to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Leads the design phase of projects.
Acts as a bridge between business analysts and developers by translating business requirements into technical specifications.
Responsible for creating the Functional Specifications document capturing the three levels of design namely conceptual, logical and physical.
Analyzes, defines, and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs.
Makes sure that developers conform to established design and development standards; does code reviews and mentors developers in best practices.
Participates in IT strategic and annual planning.
Resolves day to day issues within the Development Team.
Tracks and reports Development Team key performance metrics.
Available outside regular working hours to assist in resolving production or implementation problems.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor degree or equivalent from four-year college with five years related experience; or ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in requirements definition and project management tools.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
Excellent grasp of Object Oriented Software Development principles and Design Patterns.
Clear understanding of Enterprise Application Integration and knowledge of formal design processes.
At least 5 years experience with .NET framework with clear understanding of the .NET library and programming platform.
Skilled in creating database models; has excellent command over different data access interfaces, knowledge of transactions and service brokers.
Exposure to Service Oriented Architecture principles; Experience in the same is highly desirable.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
MCSD certification preferred.
