Required Deliverables/Tasks Responsible for creating and maintenance of IT documentation.

Translate technical and/or complicated information into clear, concise documents appropriate for various target audiences.

Works with Developers, Quality Assurance, and Architects to produce a wide variety of technical specification, technical manuals, product documentation.

Interviews subject matter experts and technical staff to collect information, prepare written text, and coordinate layout and material organization.

Research information such as drawings, design reports, equipment, and test specifications to fill any gaps.

Reviews, critiques, and edits documentation including design documents, programmer notes, and system overviews.

Responsibilities include maintenance of internal documentation library, providing and/or coordinating special documentation services as required, and oversight of special projects.

Must have strong organizational and/or project management skills and excellent writing and editing skills.

Documenting requirements and traceability in tools to include ALM, TFS, and ServiceNow.

Developing Technical Specifications Templates.

Documentation Specialist Technical Writer:

Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Contractor and/or Contractor's Staff assigned to this contract shall have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Bachelor's in computer science, technical writing, or a related field

Foundational experience with .NET, Java or C# in a professional environment is preferred

Three to five years of business or technical writing experience and working knowledge of multiple programming languages.

Three to five years of system documentation experience

Possess familiarity with version control software

Possess the ability to understand .Net code

Proficient with on time delivery with minimal supervision

Knowledgeable of Technology & Systems

Demonstrate advance knowledge of SDLC processes

Demonstrate advance knowledge of application development domain areas and specific technologies and tool set

Advance Computer skills in Microsoft suite Excel, MS Access, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Vision

Strong knowledge of web applications, client server applications, and database concepts

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group and subject matter experts.
